About Us

The Santa Maria Noontimers Lions Club was chartered nearly 60 years ago, and we continue to provide services to many members of the community!

We support a special recreational fund for blind and visually impaired students in Santa Barbara County. Through a wide variety of outings, including snow skiing, kayaking, white-water rafting, and bicycling, these children learn that blindness does not limit participation in recreation. In addition, they develop life skills that allow them to lead productive lives after graduation. We also support this group of students with an annual scholarship for post-high school education & training.

In addition, the Noontimers Lions Club is a member of the Lions Sight Conservation Foundation of Santa Maria and proudly supports the foundation with funds and time. Through the foundation, eye exams and glasses are provided for individuals who cannot afford them. The foundation also provides travel expenses to specialists and assistance in paying for some surgical procedures. In addition, volunteers are provided through the foundation to assist schools with their vision screening of students. Each year, thousands of students from kindergarten through high school are screened in the Santa Maria Valley.

We also provide services & funds to the Good Samaritan Homeless Shelter, the Salvation Army, Community Partners In Caring, and other nonprofits in the community.
