Colonel Rickards to Deliver State of Vandenberg Air Force Base Address

The Lompoc Valley Chamber of Commerce and Santa Maria Chamber of Commerce invite their membership and the public to an informative online meeting for the State of Vandenberg Air Force Base on Thursday, March 4th, 2021 on Zoom. 
The much anticipated address will be delivered by Colonel David A. Rickards, Director of Staff, 30th Space Wing and Western Range, United States Space Force, Vandenberg AFB, California.  He will highlight the Air Force base’s accomplishments of 2020 and discuss the upcoming changes in 2021. Highlights will include: 
The Sentinel-6 mission conducted by SpaceX this past November. It was an incredible site to see the launch and landing mission.
United States Space Force continuing efforts to develop entering its second year in existence, the first Field Command, Space Operations Command (SpOC), has officially been established.
The accomplishments that are leading us to an exciting 2021. The anticipation of an active launch schedule in 2021, with both new test launches, as well as more commercial space lift. 
Attendees must register online for this virtual event taking place this Thursday, March 4th. The event will open at 11:30am, and the address will begin promptly at 12:00 pm.  This is a Chamber member based event.  Members of the Santa Maria Valley & Lompoc Valley Chambers are free to attend, and the non-member fee is $20.00
